We work with very few Yacht Clubs and we produce kit for only one, the venerable Yacht Club de Monaco. The club came to us with a request for something they didn’t have, so we upped three of our most successful Salty Bags for them.
At the Le Boutique you will find Cassiopi, Marina, and a Kimolos with a hand finished silkscreen of their crossed burgees all in the colours of the club. We are extremely happy and proud.
In 2016 we produced a line of bespoke models for an NGO that protects what we love most, nature. Four new models, based on winning designs and named after Ancient Greek Names of winds will come out reflecting the colours, the simplicity and rugged purpose of these great stewards of the Earth. Welcome, Eurus, Zephyrus, Boreas, Notos. 10% from the sale of each of these models goes back to WWF Hellas.
Holmes Place redefines health and fitness around Greece. They inspire us to be better and enjoy the outdoors more.
We first approached Gessner, the maker of Climatex upcyclable fiber, to use their furniture lining for our bags in 2015.
They were so happy someone came to them with a novel idea they ordered a custom batch of Ascania model for themselves. We love Climatex for their innovative thinking and we were happy to work together to make a uniquely sustainable product.
We teamed up with Porsche in Greece to offer a Salty Bag with every test drive of hybrid Porsche in Athens. Good ideas need to backed up.
We have been working with the Spetses Classic Yacht Race/Regatta since 2013. Our first bespoke model was “Castelli”, named after the most ancient settlement on the island.
Castelli was a huge success so we then made it a mainstay of our Classic and Overcast collections. We like to work with one of the most fun and fastest growing regattas in the world. Come to Spetses to find out why.
We designed a TEDxAthens tote bag that was once a floating city. It formed part of the 5.000 m of industrial strength plastic bag material from Thrace Plastics S.A used in an experimental architecture festival to be exact. They called the festival HELLA?TOCK, and it was part of a global initiative called Bellastock that engaged architecture students from around the world to think, design, build, and finally, live in, an ephemeral city.
As Hellastock came to a conclusion the intrepid team leading the project from the National Technical University of Athens, School of Architecture contacted us to provide them with ideas for upcycling the festival’s waste. Then the TEDxAthens team challenged us to design an upcycled bag for their event. At Salty Bag we specialize in upcycling waste and bringing interesting stories to light. So we used a floating city to make a TEDx tote bag. Because the world doesn’t need another bag, we make sure you get much more than that.
One of the first collaborations we did was a bespoke order for four models for a competition. It was intriguing, challenging and a great test for us just as we were starting out.
We worked with the organisers of the most successful running event in Greece to produce Trikeri an athlete’s bag from upcycled Nylon and a bespoke Paximadi as a VIP gift bag.
Hawaiian Tropic needed a small bag for a big event. We grew up with this brand. We couldn’t say no so we happily obliged. Enjoying summer is special to us you know.
