The Argolic and Saronic Gulfs are chock full of history, like Greece as a whole isn’t you might say, and you would be right but we mean a lot, packed into few, relatively small islands. The trips made by this sail were not only to swim, they were to see where history was made.
Departing from Alimos in Athens into the Saronic to find the temples and ancient town of Aegina, then following the coast of the Peloponnese to Epidaurus where theatre was grand, past islands were pre-historic forages eked out an existence where gulls now live and so on down to Nafplio with thousands of sites still waiting to be discovered. We have little space here for the intrepid adventures of those who want to see how the world was. But it’s there, to seek it out for oneself.
