Type of Sail: Roller Main<\/strong><\/p>\n Age: 15-18 years old<\/strong><\/p>\n Material: Polyester sailcloth (a.k.a Dacron)<\/strong><\/p>\n Lived in: Corfu<\/strong><\/p>\n Distance Travelled: 3000 nm or about 90 times the trip from Dover to Dunkirk.<\/strong><\/p>\n Places most visited: Lefkada to Lacca, Ghai to Fiscardo, and Marina Gouvia in Corfu.<\/strong><\/p>\n Sail Number: N\/A (she never raced so we did not find any sail numbers on this main)<\/strong><\/p>\n This Roller Main came from the wardrobe of a Jaguar 27, a very small sailing vessel. We found a fairly large, abandoned sail wardrobe, some information on where it travelled and where it lived. Every so often though, small boats make a huge difference, to the lives of their owners, to the lives of their guests.<\/p>\n cf. The Dunkirk evacuation, codenamed Operation Dynamo, also known as the Miracle of Dunkirk. It was the evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France to the safety of the British shores between 27 May and 4 June 1940.
