The Dunkirk evacuation, codenamed Operation Dynamo, also known as the Miracle of Dunkirk. <\/p>\n It was the evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France to the safety of the British shores between 27 May and 4 June 1940. Over 800 little boats, some even smaller than this little Jaguar helped turn the tide of World war II, by ferrying 338,226 Allied soldiers to safety in 8 bomb-filled sleepless days and nights.<\/p>\n
